Br. Milton shares his testimony of serving God.

The sermon centers on the life of Moses, specifically his encounter with God at the burning bush in Exodus 3-4. Brother Milton highlights two critical moments:

• Holy Ground (Exodus 3:5): God commands Moses to remove his sandals because he is standing on holy ground. The preacher interprets this as a requirement to leave behind the “dirt” and paths of the past when entering God’s presence.
• The Staff (Exodus 4:2-4): God asks, “What is in your hand?” Moses holds a staff—a symbol of his identity as a shepherd, his source of income, and his personal authority. God commands him to throw it down, turning the dead wood into a living snake, and then to pick it up by the tail.

Brother Milton challenges the congregation to evaluate what they are holding onto that defines their identity or security.

• Surrender Your “Staff”: Identify the resources, talents, or titles you use for personal gain or identity (e.g., being a “pastor” or “preacher”) and “throw them at the feet of God.”
• Active Service: Salvation is not to be kept in the heart alone. The congregation is called to be the “body” of Christ—acting as hands, feet, and eyes—rather than just a “mouth” that talks without action.
• Shift Focus: Move from seeking recognition from man to seeking recognition from God.
• Invitation: Those who do not know God or feel their spiritual life has “dried up” are invited to come forward for prayer to begin a new work.
