Քարոզի հիմքում ընկած է Անառակ որդու առակը (Ղուկաս 15:11-32): Քարոզիչը շեշտում է կրտսեր որդու պատմությունը, ով վատնում է իր ժառանգությունը, բայց ապաշխարությամբ վերադառնում է հոր մոտ: Հայրը ոչ միայն ներում է նրան, այլև վերականգնում է նրա նախկին դիրքն ու պատիվը, ինչը խորհրդանշում է Աստծո շնորհը: Մենք բոլորս «կորած» ենք առանց Հայր Աստծո, և Քրիստոսը եկավ աշխարհ՝ մեզ գտնելու և փրկելու համար:
