Jesus Second coming

Edward Hovsepian reminds us of our need to be ready for Christ’s return.

The sermon centers on the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, drawing from several key scriptural foundations:
Mark 13:32-37: The command to “stay awake” (repeated four times) because the hour of the Lord’s return is unknown.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18: The promise of the resurrection and the instruction to comfort one another with the hope of Christ’s return.

1 John 3:2-3: The principle that anyone who holds the hope of seeing Christ purifies themselves.

James 5:7-8: The call for patience and steadfastness, likening the believer’s wait to a farmer waiting for precious fruit.

The Lord’s Prayer: The priority of “Thy Kingdom Come” over physical needs like “daily bread.”



Brother Edward challenges the congregation to shift their focus from earthly anxieties to eternal realities through four specific responses:
Spiritual Awakening: Reject the “lukewarm” state and stay alert. The preacher notes that the world’s preoccupation with current problems often causes them to forget heaven.
Holy Living: Use the expectation of Christ’s return as a motive for purity. If one expects to stand before a Holy God, they must rid themselves of things contrary to His will.
Endurance through the “Cross”: Using John Bunyan’s Pilgrim’s Progress as an allegory, the preacher emphasizes that the “Cross” (trials/sacrifices) is the only bridge over the “valley” to the Heavenly Jerusalem. One must not abandon their cross to seek a faster, easier path.
Evangelistic Urgency: Shared through the story of “Karapet,” the preacher emphasizes that the hope of reunion in heaven is only for those who have repented.

Քարոզիչը հորդորում է ժողովրդին երկրային հոգսերից հայացքը թեքել դեպի հավիտենական իրականություն՝ չորս կոնկրետ քայլերով.
Հոգևոր արթնություն. Մերժել «գաղջ» վիճակը և լինել զգոն:
Սուրբ կյանք. Քրիստոսի գալստյան սպասումը պետք է լինի սրբության շարժառիթ:
Համբերություն «Խաչի» միջոցով. Օգտագործելով Ջոն Բանյանի «Ուխտավորի ընթացքը» գրքի օրինակը՝ քարոզիչը շեշտում է, որ խաչը միակ կամուրջն է դեպի Երկնային Երուսաղեմ:
Ապաշխարության հրատապություն. Կարապետի պատմության միջոցով շեշտվում է, որ երկնքում վերամիավորվելու հույսը միայն նրանց համար է, ովքեր ճշմարտապես ապաշխարել են:

Համառոտագիր

Այս երկլեզու քարոզը շեշտում է, որ Երկրորդ գալուստը Աստծո «վերջնական ծրագիրն» է: Այն տալիս է երեք հիմնական օգուտ՝ արթնացնում է հավատացյալին հոգևոր քնից, տալիս է իսկական մխիթարություն մահվան առջև և մղում է սուրբ կյանքի: Քարոզիչը եզրակացնում է, որ «Ավետարանի ճանապարհը խաչի ճանապարհն է»:
