• Poor in Spirit: Recognizing spiritual bankruptcy and the need for God.
• Mourning: Grieving over one’s spiritual poverty and sin.
• Meekness: Strength under God’s control; no longer in rebellion.
• Hunger/Thirst for Righteousness: A natural desire for holiness stemming from a new nature.
• Merciful: Showing the same grace to others that God has shown to us.
• Pure in Heart: Purity that results in spiritual power and a distinct witness.
• Peacemakers: Bringing the peace of the “Prince of Peace” to a fractured world.

Brother Charles challenges the congregation to recognise that true peace is not the “world’s peace,” which is rooted in fear and mutual deterrence (e.g., the Cold War or modern geopolitics), but a peace that flows from a transformed interior life.

• Internal Audit: Reflect on whether your “happiness” is self-contained and independent of external circumstances.
• Pursue Purity: Maintain personal and communal holiness so that the church remains a “different” and “powerful witness” to those who enter.
• Active Peacemaking: Live in a way that brings glory to God’s name, influencing others to seek reconciliation with Him.
• Submit Strength: Allow God to “channel” your personal strengths and talents rather than using them for self-will or rebellion.
