There comes a time when you are noticed by Jesus. Brother Sam Yeghnazar shares a message on Matthew the tax collector and how Jesus noticed him and discipled him. Are we thirsting for the Lord to know his will and direction in our lives?

The sermon centers on two primary invitations from Jesus found in the Gospels:

• Matthew 11:28: “Come to me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.” The preacher emphasizes that this is a universal invitation regardless of status or belief. Rest is found at the foot of the cross, where forgiveness allows individuals to forgive others and find peace.
• John 7:37: “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink.” Jesus is presented as the spring of living water, essential for spiritual survival.
• Matthew 9:9 / Mark 2:14 / Luke 5:27: The call of Levi (Matthew). Jesus approaches the tax collector in his booth and says, “Follow me.” This marks the transition from receiving an invitation (“Come”) to active discipleship (“Follow”).

Brother Sam challenges the congregation to move beyond being “weekly visitors” and to become true followers.

• Take the Invitation Seriously: Do not just listen; act on the call to “come and drink” from the living water to avoid spiritual dehydration and unbelief.
• Move from “Come” to “Follow”: Recognize that following Jesus is difficult but leads to ultimate blessing. It requires leaving behind old identities (like Matthew’s tax booth) and adopting Jesus’s ways and plans.
• Evangelistic Motivation: Like Matthew, who immediately brought his friends and fellow tax collectors to meet Jesus, the congregation is challenged to bring their own circles to the church.
• Discard Unbelief: Throw away skepticism regarding God’s power to heal and transform, as evidenced by the testimony of the miraculous healing of a woman’s foot through prayer.
