The sermon centers on 2 Corinthians 6:14–18, where the Apostle Paul defines the identity and boundaries of the Church. Brother Edward, emphasizes that the Church is not merely a building but a distinct people defined by five key characteristics:

• The Assembly of the Righteous: The Church is called to be holy and separate from the “filth” of the world. While believers are “saved sinners” who may stumble unwittingly, they cannot intentionally plan or live a life of sin.
• Children of Light: Using the analogy of the moon, Brother Edward explains that the Church has no light of its own but must reflect the light of Christ (the Sun) to a dark world.
• Subject to One Lord: There is no harmony between Christ and Belial (Satan). A believer cannot serve two masters or “limbo” between the kingdom of God and the world.
• A Collection of Believers: The Church must be mindful of associations. While believers should love and respect unbelievers, they must not be “yoked” with them, as evil company corrupts good character.
• The Temple of the Living God: The Church is God’s dwelling place. Anything that takes the primary place of God—be it money, technology (Facebook/Internet), or even family—becomes an idol that defiles this temple.

Brother Edward challenges the congregation to examine their lives for “leaks” or “open gates” where the world or the enemy has entered.

• Dissociate from Bondage: If a relationship or habit is pulling a believer away from their purpose, they are commanded to “cut it short” and separate themselves.
• Self-Examination: Before participating in Communion, individuals must search their own hearts for hidden idols or disobedience rather than judging others.
• Confession and Cleansing: The congregation is urged to bring every identified sin under the blood of Jesus, trusting that He is faithful to wash them clean and restore their position as sons and daughters of the Almighty.
• Maintain Holiness: The “engine” of the Church is holiness; just as a car cannot run on water or milk, a relationship with a holy God cannot function through willful sin.
