This week Brother Edward continues the theme of looking at the Church discussing the image of the Church as a Bride.

The sermon explores the metaphor of the Church as the Bride of Christ, drawing from several key scriptural foundations:

• Song of Songs 8:4-5: Emphasizes the bride leaning on her beloved, symbolizing total dependence on Christ.
• Matthew 25:1-13: The Parable of the Ten Virgins, highlighting the necessity of being prepared with “oil” (the Holy Spirit) for the Groom’s return.
• Revelation 19:7-8: Describes the marriage of the Lamb and the “fine linen, bright and clean” given to the bride, representing the righteousness of the saints.
• Apostle Paul’s Epistles: References the betrothal of the church to Christ as a pure virgin.

Brother Edward presents a fourfold challenge to the congregation to live out their identity as the Bride:
Cultivate Love: Shift from a transactional relationship with God to a “love relationship” where the soul is “sick for love” for Christ.
Total Dependence: Like a passenger on a motorcycle, the congregation must lean entirely on Christ, who holds the “handlebars” and directs the path.
Active Preparation: Maintain “white garments” (holiness) and keep “lamps full of oil” (spiritual alertness), living with the constant expectation of the Rapture.
Invitation: Fulfill the responsibility of the Bride to invite friends and relatives to the wedding feast; no bride goes to her wedding alone.

Լիակատար կախվածություն. Ինչպես մոտոցիկլետի ուղևորը, հավատացյալը պետք է ամբողջությամբ հենվի Քրիստոսի վրա, ով պահում է «ղեկը» և առաջնորդում է ճանապարհը:
Ակտիվ պատրաստություն. Պահպանել «սպիտակ հանդերձները» (սրբությունը) և լապտերները յուղով լիքը պահել, ապրելով հափշտակության մշտական սպասումով:
Հրավեր. Կատարել հարսի պարտականությունը՝ հրավիրելով բարեկամներին և հարազատներին հարսանեկան խնջույքին. ոչ մի հարս մենակ չի գնում իր հարսանիքին:
